Looking for a quick and easy dish that can be both an appetizer and a main dish. Look no further than these ground meat sliders. The world is your oyster with this recipe, add whatever ingredients you like, just maybe not oysters 😉
We went with your basic cheeseburger toppings on this one and they turned out great!

Total cook time: 10 mins
Serves: 4 – 8
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. Ground Venison Burger (20% fat added preferred)
- 1 package of King’s Hawaiian “Savory Butter” rolls (12)
- American Cheese Singles
- Sliced Colby Jack cheese (or sliced cheese of choice)
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Pickles
- Minced White Onion
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder (or 2 cloves minced garlic)
- Kosher salt
- Black pepper
- 2 tbsp of Butter
Instructions for Cooking
- Preheat the oven to 350deg.
- Preheat a skillet to med/high.
- Brown the ground venison in a skillet (break up the meat into fine pieces).
- Season the meat with salt, pepper, onion powder to taste. You could use your favorite burger seasoning as well.
- Drain the meat well using a colander.
- Grease a 9×13 dish with a little butter to keep from sticking.
- Slice the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half if they are not already cut.
- Place the bottom half of the roll in the bottom of the greased dish.
- Add a layer of American cheese singles as a base layer
- Add the seasoned meat in a thin uniform layer
- Add the toppings such as pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.
- Add a layer of your sliced colby jack or favorite cheese (this creates as “seal” to help keep the meat in in the roll.
- Place the top half of the rolls on the sliders.
- Melt remaining butter and add a little onion and garlic powder to it.
- Brush the melted butter over the rolls.
- Place in the oven and cook until the cheese becomes nice and melted.
- Remove from the oven and allow to sit for a few minutes to cool down.
- Slice into individual sliders.
- Serve & Enjoy!
