While the cup is labeled as dishwasher safe, the printing is not. Hand washing with a mild, liquid detergent soap is encouraged. Avoid the use of commercial detergents or abrasive cleansers which will damage the imprint and scratch the surface. We have run our cup through the dishwasher a handful of times and the WGC printing shows no sign of wear, however, this could vary from dishwasher to dishwasher and or over time.
*Draining the “fluid” (myoglobin, blood, and water) from your wild game meat can significantly increase the quality of taste. It removes a lot of the “gamey” flavors that many associate with wild game.
Simply add your ground meat “lug” (while in the packaging) to the cup and then fill the cup with cold water. Once the meat thaws, remove the meat from the cup, drain the water, and slice the bottom of the bag. Place a folded paper towel(s) in the bottom of the cup and place the meat back in. This will allow gravity to do the work. Leave your meat on the counter if you plan to cook with it soon or place it in the fridge if you are cooking later.
